Objectives

Public Finance

Public finance operates according to specific rules and mechanisms that distinguish it from corporate finance, making it a discipline in its own right. From budget law to public finance oversight, covering taxation, public accounting and the financing of public projects, this interdisciplinary program enables participants to acquire, update or deepen their public finance competencies. A good level of English is required.

01Master the fundamentals and scope of public accounting
02Understand and analyze the mechanisms and principles of designing, implementing and controlling a public budget
03Master the interplay between budget law and other fields related to budgetary practice (public procurement, subsidies, taxation, oversight mechanisms…)
04Gain in-depth practical knowledge in the areas of program budgets, public project financing, and public law and taxation
05Acquire knowledge of the legislative and regulatory aspects required for managing Public Finance
06Master the financial management of local authorities and public institutions

Taxation, Debt & Local Authorities

The Professional Thesis

Applied Professional Thesis

Participants must complete a professional thesis applied to a project related to their company, sector and activity. This work is supervised by an ISCAE professor.

A research methodology seminar and six mentoring sessions are planned. The defense takes place before a jury of professors and professionals.

Assessment & Admission

Assessment Criteria

Courses are validated by a minimum average of 12/20 per module. A grade below 8/20 in any subject requires a make-up exam in the second session.

Assessment is based on continuous assessment, the final exam, attendance and participation. The program concludes with the defense of the professional thesis.
